Studying classical piano since eight years old, Melissa's progressive tastes eventually turned to Rush, vintage Genesis and classic Yes. Her early professional years were spent in the Boston music scene, where she taught theory and classical piano.

Eventually quitting Boston for Los Angeles, Melissa has now performed in numerous LA clubs due to her involvement with many touring cover bands.
