Darren has been playing drums professionally for longer than he hasn't - 25 years. Raised in Chicago, he was a regular at all the major jazz, blues and rock clubs in the area, performing with numerous acts in a steady stream of session work, which included studio appearances. His areas of proficiency include reading, grooving and authenticity in a wide range of styles: Rock, Hip Hop, Funk, Jazz, Blues, Latin.
Darren also works frequently as a percussionist.

Darren Ross formative years:
Re-located to Los Angeles in 1991, attended the Musician's Institute, and has been teaching there ever since.
