| TECHNICAL
RIDER |
John
is experienced at all phases of lighting (from designing, to calling follow
spots), including automated fixtures and Pyro, having designed and toured
lighting systems to 150 lamps. He owns several color changers, moving
lights, strobes, and intercom for small tour augments. He has designed
and programmed custom lighting equipment, and has built and crewed systems
to 2500 lamps.
John is available for touring (from clubs to arenas), and for lighting
design for Music Videos, as well as showcase events; can proficiently
run every major lighting-controller in use today, and is fully able to
deal with both automated lighting and conventional lighting instruments.
John Schlick is a full time LD who lives in Seattle when he is not touring,
and has written and published several lighting articles.
"A [Lighting Director] is really like any relationship in that it
requires good communication. Its an ongoing and evolving process
to understand where the band is artistically and keep in synch with them."

Touring
Lighting Designer for the Genitorturers.
The "Flesh is the Law" Tour. A 5-week club (500-3000 seats)
bus and trailer tour of the US. Took a full lighting package that
I set up (using house loaders) and ran every day.

I
worked closely with the band to ensure that the look onstage was
consistent from day to day. Worked with house LD's to program our
show into their gear every day. Called follow spots most nights.
