muzzleLoader: one of the finest exponents of modern heavy rock, made up of four talented songwriters/performers. Veterans of the live club scene, individually and as a unit, muzzleLoader also perform at many social functions, far removed from the mainstream: Wicca festivals, Earth rallies, parties, outdoor events, etc.

Review - The LA Music Scene, Aug 2001:
“muzzleLoader started off the night with their aggressive blend of metal styles ranging from Primus, the Cult to Tool and Slayer, not any specific order and not all at once. The band's level of musicianship is high. The drummer is extremely solid, interesting and grooves with a level of intensity that carries the band. Guitarist, Trey Creager, incorporates tapping, harmonics with a thick guitar sound that others strive for.
If I didn't know better I would have thought vocalist, Merkus Alcus, was hiding behind the microphone. His voice reminded me of Kevin Martin of Candlebox and Ian Astbury of the Cult. Along with Bassist, Daren Burns, the band puts together a lot of different sounds in a way that is solely their own.”

“The CD is a triumph of those who appreciate the joys of stripped down and largely uncluttered hard rock - think of a more modern version of AC/DC or the Cult."
Robert Kinsler, Orange County Register, May 2001
